Meet Dr. Alex Behnam
Originally from Los Angeles, Dr. Alex Behnam earned his degree in Psychology from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) before completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH). While at ASDOH, he also earned a Certificate in Public Health Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Behnam was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society, a distinction awarded to the top 10% of dental school graduates. His experience at ASDOH allowed Dr. Behnam to discover both a passion for dental care and a deep connection to the desert community he now calls home.
Dr. Behnam believes dentistry is about more than just teeth – it’s about trust, education, and creating a comfortable experience for every patient. Known for his calm demeanor and relationship-first approach, he makes patients feel cared for and confident in their smile. Because no two people or smiles are alike, Dr. Behnam enjoys tailoring treatment to each individual and meeting patients wherever they are in their dental journey. He advances his expertise through active membership in the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Behnam enjoys staying active and connected to the Arizona lifestyle he’s grown to love. He’s a big fan of basketball (go Clippers!) and football (go Chargers!), enjoys hiking local trails, and values time spent with his wife and their dog, Teddy.
